‘Come Monday Night’ is single of the week on the Geoff Lloyd’s Hometime Show on Absolute Radio this week. You can hear it every day at around 6.25p.m.

Today (May 7th) also marks the launch of the ‘God Help The Girl’ subscription, which means that over the course of the year, you can receive all the ‘God Help The Girl’ recordings and videos, delivered directly to your home and inbox.

Come Monday Night - video 07 / 05 / 09
The video for ‘Come Monday Night’ will preview on Pitchfork today (7th May) and will be available to stream on this site from 12 noon (UK time) on 8th May. It was made in Glasgow a fortnight ago, directed by Stuart with Blair Young and features a rare appearance – all in the same room at the same time – of the 3 main vocalists on God Help The Girl – Catherine Ireton , Celia Garcia and Alex Klobouk. Also featured is James Anthony Pearson, who you may recognise from ‘Control’ (he played Barney) and ‘New Town Killers.’ A downloadable version of the video for iPods will be available with the subscription...

We are delighted to have the first tangible output of God Help The Girl in our hands – the single, ‘Come Monday Night.’
You may have already heard it – either from the free download from the site, elsewhere on line or even on the radio – but it now exists as a 7” single, complete with a non-album b-side called ‘Howard Jones Is My Mozart.’

We have had the pleasure of the company Linnea from the Swedish band, Those Dancing Days, in Glasgow over the last few days, recording a new track, ‘Baby, You’re Blind,’ which will appear with the ‘Funny Little Frog’ single later in the year.
